MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas has opened its 3,969 guest rooms and suites, following the completion of a $300m remodelling programme.
The redesigned spaces mark a significant upgrade in accommodation at the property, with new features and modern amenities intended to meet the needs of today’s travellers.
MGM Grand’s room collection now includes 753 suites following the addition of 111 new units, expanding available options for visitors.
International architecture company Gensler collaborated with MGM Resorts Design & Development on the design, which incorporates elements inspired by the “disco era”.
Interiors feature updated bathrooms with walk-in showers and glass enclosures, alongside improved storage solutions and blackout drapery for optimal rest.
In-room technology includes wall-mounted smart televisions and charging stations. Refrigerators have been added to minibars for guest use.
Suite configurations range from 675ft² to 1,784ft² and provide additional privacy through revised floor plans; refitted bathrooms and upgraded showers.
Alongside the accommodation changes, MGM Grand has introduced several new on-site entertainment and dining experiences.
The hotel’s Morimoto restaurant will also debut a refreshed design and menu later this year.
MGM Grand president and COO Mike Neubecker said: “MGM Grand has long stood out as one of the most iconic resorts on The Strip, and this remodel marks an ambitious step forward in the resort's evolution.
“Inspired by our guests' feedback, we've designed rooms that deliver what both business and leisure travellers value most, providing a thoughtful balance of style, comfort and functionality.”
Last year, MGM Resorts reached an agreement with Cisco to enable the automation of its network.
