Minor Hotels’ Avani brand has expanded its presence in Australia with the opening of Avani Living Queen’s Wharf Residences in Brisbane.
The new development is situated within the Queen’s Wharf precinct, offering a total of 225 suites of one, two and three bedrooms designed for both short-term and extended stay accommodation.
Each suite comprises kitchen and laundry facilities, aiming to accommodate the needs of both corporate travellers and leisure guests seeking functional lodging in Brisbane’s central district.
The property offers access to communal spaces including a lap pool, sauna and steam room.
Minor Hotels has indicated that additional features, such as wellness programmes and a convenient food outlet called The Pantry at Avani, are scheduled for introduction in 2026.
The location places guests near key riverfront, dining and entertainment areas, aligning with growing demand for flexible and centrally located accommodation options among domestic and international travellers.
The latest addition follows Minor Hotels’ broader growth strategy for the Avani brand across Australia.
Earlier this year, the company announced plans for Avani Mooloolaba Beach Hotel on the Sunshine Coast, set to open in April 2026.
Minor Hotels Australasia chief operating officer Craig Hooley said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Avani Living Queen’s Wharf Residences to our Avani portfolio.
“As demand for Brisbane continues to increase, this addition strengthens our presence in the city and allows us to meet the increasing demand from travellers seeking more space, comfort and flexibility, whether their stay is short or long term.”
By introducing the Avani Living concept at Queen’s Wharf, Minor Hotels aims to address rising interest from travellers seeking space and convenience during their stays.
The group continues to expand its regional portfolio, positioning Avani Living Queen’s Wharf Residences as part of its response to increasing travel activity in Brisbane and surrounding areas.
