Minor Hotels has announced the global launch of The Wolseley Hotels, with the first property set to open in New York City, US, in 2027.

The hotel will be located near Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan. It will occupy the landmark building at 130 West 44th Street, originally built in 1905 as the Lambs Club clubhouse and designed by McKim, Mead & White.

It will include 76 guest rooms and suites, with interiors intended to combine traditional design elements and modern features.

Central to the offering will be The Wolseley New York restaurant and bar. The hotel will also feature a cellar-level speakeasy bar and a redesigned wellness centre.

The launch of this New York flagship property forms part of a wider plan for a global rollout. Minor Hotels indicates that additional Wolseley Hotels are planned for cosmopolitan destinations across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Each property will focus on culinary standards, design features, and guest service.

Earlier this month, Minor Hotels signed an agreement to launch the NH Collection Pemba Island Resort in Tanzania, scheduled to open in February 2030.

This move expands NH Collection’s presence into the Zanzibar archipelago and reinforces Minor Hotels’ broader commitment to growth across East Africa.

Last month, Minor Hotels signed a management agreement with MK Group to operate two properties on Europe’s Adriatic coast, marking the group’s entry into Croatia and Slovenia.

The hotels will reopen for the 2026 season this month and will be relaunched under the Anantara and Minor Reserve Collection brands following refurbishment in early 2027. This move aligns with Minor Hotels’ strategy to expand its European resort presence.
