US investment management company Peachtree Group is continuing to strengthen its partnership with Hilton with the opening of a new Tru brand hotel in Huntsville, Alabama.

The hotel marks the sixth property developed by the company in 2025.

The 98-room Tru by Hilton hotel’s operations will be overseen by Peachtree’s hospitality management division.

The property will provide on-site amenities consistent with brand standards, including social spaces, breakfast service, a 24/7 market and fitness facilities.

Located at 7206 Cabela Drive NW, the hotel stands within a commercial district that includes major federal agencies and contractors.

It is located within a mile of Boeing, Nasa and the FBI’s Huntsville campus and is adjacent to an office park hosting Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and the Redstone Arsenal military base.

These organisations have played a significant role in shaping Huntsville’s economic development and support continued demand for accommodation in the area, stated Peachtree.

The new property is positioned in a Qualified Opportunity Zone (QOZ), a federal designation for low-income census tracts under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.

Peachtree has invested in QOZs since the programme’s launch, with this latest opening contributing to its portfolio of 12 hotels opened in these areas.

Three additional properties are under construction, and another three are in planning.

Peachtree’s hospitality management division operates 113 hotels across 29 brands nationwide.

The company manages branded properties in various segments, including limited-service, select-service and compact full-service hotels.

Peachtree investments senior vice-president Will Woodworth said: “The opening of Tru by Hilton Huntsville underscores our commitment to developing institutional-quality properties in markets with enduring demand generators.

“Huntsville's leadership in aerospace, defence and advanced manufacturing makes it an exceptional fit for Hilton's Tru brand and Peachtree's long-term investment strategy.”

The company said it continues to expand its footprint within federally designated QOZs through development and capital investment strategies.

Peachtree managing principal Mitul Patel said: “Our partnership with Hilton continues to grow stronger with each project. Hilton has been a trusted brand partner for many years, and we are proud to continue developing high quality hotels together in markets that benefit from strong demand and economic growth.”

In July, Embassy Suites by Hilton launched an all-suite hotel on the Alabama Gulf Coast in the US, which was developed by Peachtree Group in partnership with Woodbine Development and DD Partners.
