Radisson Hotel Group is set to enhance its presence in Romania with new hotel developments.

These initiatives will bolster the group's collection of properties and provide distinctive experiences catering to both corporate and vacationing guests, states Radisson.

Radisson RED Bucharest Old Town, the first RED property in the country, is scheduled to open in 2027. It will transform a historical office building into a modern hotel with 104 guest rooms.

The property will feature a restaurant, bar, co-working lounge, outdoor terrace, and versatile meeting spaces. A 100m² multi-purpose room and a pop-up venue will cater to various events.

Adding to the group's Romanian portfolio is Radisson Blu Grand Mountain Resort, Brasov, which is also set to open in early 2027. It will offer guests luxury accommodations and outdoor activities in the Carpathian Mountains.

The resort is designed to be a year-round destination for nature and adventure enthusiasts.

In 2028, the Radisson Blu Resort & Residences, Mamaia, will open on the Black Sea coast, featuring 234 hotel rooms and 102 branded residences.

This luxury seaside resort will provide guests with sea views, dining options, a spa, and meeting spaces suitable for both leisure and business purposes.

The Radisson Lagoon Hotel Bucharest, part of the Central District Lagoon City, is another anticipated project.

This urban resort-style hotel will offer 323 rooms, a spa, an exclusive sandy beach, and a 10,000m² lagoon, aiming to provide a unique guest experience.

Radisson Hotel Group executive vice president and chief development officer Elie Younes said: “Romania is a dynamic and rapidly growing market for hotel development. The country's recent accession to the Schengen Area is expected to boost travel, trade, and tourism by eliminating border controls and facilitating easier movement of capital.

"This development, combined with Romania's size, rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and vibrant cities, makes it a candidate for focused growth.”

The group recently opened its first verified net-zero hotel in Manchester, UK, adhering to the Net Zero Methodology for Hotels' 2040 requirements.
