Weather protection provider Sensible Weather has partnered with resort booking platform Inntopia to provide its weather-related travel guarantee offering at select destinations within Alterra Mountain Company.

Through this collaboration, Sensible Weather will integrate its weather guarantee as an add-on to Inntopia's booking engine to improve skier satisfaction and drive advanced bookings.

Sensible Weather CEO Nick Cavanagh said: “As an avid skier myself, I know how quickly poor conditions can ruin a day on the slopes.

“We’re thrilled to offer skiers and snowboarders peace of mind, allowing them to plan their winter vacations well in advance without worrying about unpredictable weather—because with a Weather Guarantee, they’re covered.”

The guarantee allows guests at Inntopia's partner locations to claim up to 100% reimbursement on ticket costs in the event of excessive rain or snow.

Skiers will also be promptly notified via SMS and email if they are eligible for a payout, which will be processed automatically through an automated clearing house [ACH] payment or PayPal.

Inntopia provides a booking platform that integrates multiple systems used by resorts, allowing guests to book various experiences in a single transaction.

The platform connects with property management, point-of-sale, tee-sheet, and activity systems to streamline the reservation process.

Founded in 2001, Inntopia is used by major resorts, including Vail Resorts, Alterra Mountain Company, Sun Valley, and Stein Collection.
