Developers Wynn Resorts and Marjan have confirmed plans to develop a second joint hospitality project on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The new venture, named Janu Al Marjan Island, is scheduled to open in late 2028 and will be managed and operated by hospitality firm Aman Group.

Janu Al Marjan Island will offer 132 rooms, a wellness centre equipped with a yoga studio, a gym, and a hammam.

Planned dining and entertainment options will provide two restaurants, a mixology bar, a nightlife venue, and a club for children.

The property will also feature a private beach, a beach club, and a pool area for guests and residents.

Marjan CEO Abdulla Al Abdouli said: “The arrival of Janu Al Marjan Island by Aman Group marks a defining moment in Ras Al Khaimah's evolution as a world-class lifestyle and hospitality destination. This collaboration with Aman Group and our partner Wynn Resorts reflects our commitment to curating exceptional experiences that resonate with discerning global travellers.

“Janu's philosophy of soulful luxury aligns perfectly with our vision for Al Marjan Island, and we are proud to welcome this iconic brand to our growing portfolio of landmark developments.”

In addition to the hotel facilities, an adjacent residential tower will house Janu Residences.

These residences will include one- to five-bedroom units as well as standalone villas.

The resort will be situated directly opposite the under-construction Wynn Al Marjan Island, which is expected to begin operations in 2027.

The Wynn Al Marjan Island is positioned as the first integrated resort in the UAE.

Located around 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this development aims to provide 1,530 rooms and suites.

Planned amenities encompass 22 dining venues, a theatre, a beach club, several pools with tropical landscaping, a spa, and a salon.

The site will also include a marina capable of accommodating 99 yachts, a shopping promenade covering 15,000m² with luxury retail outlets, and a 7,500m² events centre.

Wynn Al Marjan Island president Max Tappeiner said: “The Aman Group team is world class, and we are delighted to have them as a neighbour. Beyond the standalone merits of the investment, we expect Janu's guests and residential owners will be an additional source of high-quality visitation to Wynn Al Marjan Island.”

In February 2025, Wynn Resorts obtained $2.4bn in financing to support the development and construction of Wynn Al Marjan Island.
