Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, an international hotel management company, has opened the new Movenpick Hotel Apartments The Square in the Al Mamzar area of Deira in Dubai.
It is located close to Dubai International Airport, Dubai Creek, Sharjah, the airport free zone, port and trading centres.
Mövenpick selected Deira as the location for its new property as hotels in the city enjoy more than 80% occupancy year-round.
The hotel features 180 deluxe rooms, one- and two-bedroom hotel apartment suites, a dining restaurant, rooftop swimming pool, fitness centre and four meeting venues.
Each of the rooms and apartments are equipped with a kitchenette to create a homely feel while still offering all the comfort and services of a hotel.
The dining restaurant, called The Spices, serves Asian and classic international recipes, while cocktails, light snacks and shisha are served at the rooftop of the hotel.

The property has been classifed by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) as ‘Deluxe Hotel Apartments’, which is considered to be the highest standard for hotel apartments in Dubai.
The hotel, which is owned by Town Square Investment, is Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts’ fifth property in Dubai.
Mövenpick has properties in Ibn Battuta Gate, Jumeirah Beach, Bur Dubai and Deira, and it is readying a sixth property in Jumeirah Lake Towers that is slated to open later in 2013.
Swiss hotel chain Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has a network of 77 hotels, resorts and Nile cruisers across 24 countries.
