The Peninsula Hong Kong hotel has selected hospitality data solutions provider Intouch Data’s (ITD) business intelligence application HotelSnapshot (HSS).

Owner and operator The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels (HSH) intends to deploy the software as a service application across its eight other Peninsula hotels by the end of 2013.

When deployed at The Peninsula Paris, which is expected to open later in 2013, this number will increase to ten.

HSH information technology general manager Shane Izaks said: “HotelSnapshot will greatly improve the information flow for Peninsula Hotels internally and streamline our own analysis and reporting. Business intelligence needs to be delivered in a dynamic environment and be both timely and purposeful allowing for swift actions and or strategic modifications. I believe HSS meets these criteria.”

With HotelSnapshot, users can design their own screens based on their needs and individual internal requirements.

Individual users can get access to a minimum of one year’s historical data from the hotel’s property management system in a user-defined and managed environment of dashboards, cube-type analysis and reports.
