SuitePad has strengthened its sales team with the appointment of a new vice-president of business development, Rob Zijl.

As an expert in the hospitality industry and an experienced sales professional, Zijl comes to SuitePad with plenty of valuable experience in the industry. He previously worked at SALTO Systems, a manufacturer of electronic access control solutions, where he was vice-president of hospitality access solutions international.

Zijl will be managing and expanding the international sales of SuitePad, facilitating the company’s growth at an international level. Along with his team, he will be mainly focusing on hotel chains in Europe, Asia, and the US. The optimisation of the structure of the global sales department will further strengthen SuitePad’s position in the global market for in-room tablets.

He studied international business management at the HZ University of Applied Science, before beginning a career as an international area sales manager in Spain at TESA-ASSA ABLOY in 1994. He followed this by taking positions as a key account manager at Onity, a sales and marketing director EMEA at Kaba and a sales director at Amadeus Systems in Vienna.

He then moved on to SALTO Systems in Oiartzun, Spain, in 2013. He was initially employed as a sales director for hospitality Europe, Middle-East and Africa (EMEA) but quickly moved on to the position of vice-president for hospitality access solutions.
