US-based company Booking Holdings’s IT hiring increased by 3.9% in July 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 5.08% in July 2021 when compared with June 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 24.32% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2021, and recorded a 1.28% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Booking Holdings IT hiring in July 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Booking Holdings, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 67.5% in July 2021, and a 52.63% drop over June 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 17.5% in July 2021, and registered a 46.15% decline. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 7.5% in July 2021, a 66.67% drop from June 2021.
North America drives IT hiring at Booking Holdings
North America emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in July 2021 with a 42.5% share, which marked a 10.53% drop over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 37.5%, registering a 67.39% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 20% share and a 63.64% drop over June 2021.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 42.5% share in July 2021, a 10.53% decline over June 2021. Thailand featured next with a 25% share, down 64.29% over the previous month.Germany recorded a 12.5% share, decline of 44.44% compared with June 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Booking Holdings IT hiring activity in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 65%, down by 60.61% from June 2021. Entry Level positions with a 25% share, a decline of 28.57% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 10% share, down 42.86% over June 2021.
