
Germany travel & tourism industry registered a 1.3% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 0.01% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.81% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 0.24% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany travel & tourism industry in July 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 53.72% in July 2021, a 24.42% drop over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 19.83% share, decline of 29.41% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 12.4%, registering a 25% rise from June 2021.
4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 12.4%, up 66.67% over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in Germany IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 2.91% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany travel & tourism industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
Deutsche Bahn posted 35 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a rise of 12.9% over the previous month, followed by FlixMobility with 26 jobs and an 85.71% growth. TUI with 21 IT jobs and Sixt with 11 jobs, recorded a 40% growth and a 56% decline, respectively, while Deutsche Lufthansa recorded a 61.11% decline with 7 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.86%, down by 3.13% from June 2021. Entry Level positions with a 15.7% share, a decline of 5% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 7.44% share, down 68.97% over June 2021.
