The industry’s overall hiring increased by 17.41% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 18.5% share in July 2021, recording decrease of 1.95% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 71.34% in July 2021, a 13.59% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 12.8% share, an increase of 110% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 9.15%, registering a 7.14% rise from June 2021.
4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 3.05%, down 54.55% over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in India IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 28.32% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India travel & tourism industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
A.P. Moller – Maersk posted 71 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a rise of 51.06% over the previous month, followed by Expedia Group with 26 jobs and a flat growth. Uber Technologies with 26 IT jobs and AirAsia Group with 12 jobs, recorded a 10.34% drop and a 100% increase, respectively, while Expeditors International of Washington recorded a 100% increase with 10 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.54%, up by 20% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 32.32% share, a growth of 8.16% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.15% share, up 15.38% over June 2021.
