Philippines travel & tourism industry registered a 30.1% rise in IT hiring activity in June 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.

The industry’s overall hiring an increased by 21.82% in June 2021 compared with May 2021.

Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.84% share in June 2021, recording an increase of 0.14% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Philippines travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Philippines travel & tourism industry in June 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 45.24% in June 2021, a 32.14% drop over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 26.19% share, an increase of 83.33% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 21.43%, registering a 350% rise from May 2021.

4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 4.76%, down 50% over the previous month.

Top five travel & tourism companies in Philippines IT recruitment activity in June 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 2.86% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Philippines travel & tourism industry during June 2021 over May 2021.

William Hill posted 12 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a drop of 25% over the previous month, followed by AirAsia Group with 10 jobs and a flat growth. DSV Panalpina with 7 IT jobs and A.P. Moller – Maersk with 4 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 100% increase, respectively, while Entain recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during June 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.05%, flat growth from May 2021. Entry Level positions with a 21.43% share, a growth of 125% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 9.52% share, down 33.33% over May 2021.
