Poland’s travel & tourism industry registered a 3.7% rise in IT hiring activity in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 1.35% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.

Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 20.4% share in August 2021, recording an increase of 0.56% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Poland’s travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Poland’s travel & tourism industry in August 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 57.38% in August 2021, registering a 5.41% decline over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 27.87% share, a decrease of 5.56% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 11.48%, registering a 16.67% rise from July 2021.

4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 3.28%, flat growth over the previous month.

Top five travel & tourism companies in Poland’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 6% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Poland’s travel & tourism industry during August 2021 over July 2021.

DSV Panalpina posted 34 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a rise of 9.68% over the previous month, followed by Deutsche Lufthansa with 8 jobs and a 42.86% drop. Deutsche Bahn with 4 IT jobs and Uber Technologies with 4 jobs, recorded a 33.33% flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while lastminute recorded an increase of 50% with 3 job postings during August 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.02%, up by 16.13% from July 2021. Entry Level positions with a 26.23% share, registered a decline of 23.81% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 14.75% share, down 40% over July 2021.
