Denmark-based company A.P. Moller – Maersk’s IT hiring declined 21.6% in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 1.84% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 12.71% share in the company’s total hiring activity in March 2022, and recorded a 4.87% decline over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total IT job titles posted by A.P. Moller – Maersk, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 74.82% in March 2022, and a 7.14% drop over February 2022, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 10.79% in March 2022, and registered a decline of 60.53%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 7.19% in March 2022, a 62.96% drop from February 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at A.P. Moller – Maersk

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in March 2022 with a 44.6% share, which marked a 20.51% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 43.88%, registering a 41.35% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 6.47% share and a 40% drop over February 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 5.04% and a month-on-month increase of 40%.

Denmark commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 23.74% share in March 2022, a 17.5% decline over February 2022. India featured next with a 21.58% share, down 50% over the previous month. China recorded a 17.99% share, an increase of 400% compared with February 2022.

Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.5%, down by 27.94% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.02% share, a decline of 40.74% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.47% share, down 43.75% over February 2022.
