Sweden-based company AB Volvo’s IT hiring rose 38.7% in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 18.69% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 17.21% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2021, and recorded a 2.95% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops AB Volvo IT hiring in September 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by AB Volvo, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 61.59% in September 2021, and a 197.06% rise over August 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 23.78% in September 2021, and registered growth of 95%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 10.37% in September 2021, an 183.33% rise from August 2021.

Europe drives IT hiring at AB Volvo

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global auto IT hiring activity in September 2021 with a 56.71% share, which marked an 181.82% rise over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 29.27%, registering a 220% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with an 11.59% share and a 58.33% rise over August 2021.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 2.44% and a month-on-month flat growth.

Sweden commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 40.85% share in September 2021, a 191.3% growth over August 2021. India featured next with a 26.22% share, up 290.91% over the previous month. US recorded an 11.59% share, an increase of 58.33% compared with August 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead AB Volvo IT hiring activity in September 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.59%, up by 140.48% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 34.76% share, a growth of 280% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 3.66% share, down 14.29% over August 2021.
