The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 16.69% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 22.46% share in the company’s total hiring activity in November 2022, and recorded a 1.92% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Booking Holdings IT hiring in November 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Booking Holdings, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 55.74% in November 2022, and a 41.38% drop over October 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 31.15% in November 2022, and registered a decline of 52.5%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 9.84% in November 2022, a 64.71% drop from October 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Booking Holdings

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in November 2022 with a 72.13% share, which marked a 31.25% drop over the previous month.

North America stood next with 16.39%, registering a 70.59% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with an 11.48% share and a 63.16% drop over October 2022.

Thailand commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 63.93% share in November 2022, a 32.76% decline over October 2022. Canada featured next with a 9.84% share, down 50% over the previous month. US recorded a 6.56% share, a decline of 63.64% compared with October 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Booking Holdings IT hiring activity in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 39.34%, down by 69.23% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 36.07% share, a growth of 100% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 24.59% share, down 46.43% over October 2022.
