US-based company Booking Holdings IT hiring rose 1.3% in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 11.91% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 23% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2022, and recorded a 4.26% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Booking Holdings IT hiring in October 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Booking Holdings, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 45.63% in October 2022, and a 20.51% rise over September 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 38.83% in October 2022, and registered growth of 21.21%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 13.59% in October 2022, a 16.67% rise from September 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Booking Holdings

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in October 2022 with a 62.14% share, which marked a flat growth over the previous month.

North America stood next with 21.36%, registering a 15.79% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 16.5% share and a 240% rise over September 2022.

Thailand commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 56.31% share in October 2022, a 16% growth over September 2022. Canada featured next with a 7.77% share, up 33.33% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 7.77% share, an increase of 14.29% compared with September 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Booking Holdings IT hiring activity in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.05%, up by 31.37% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 24.27% share, a growth of 19.05% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 10.68% share, down 31.25% over September 2022.
