Germany-based company Deutsche Lufthansa’s IT hiring declined 4.9% in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 0.94% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 16.76% share in the company’s total hiring activity in April 2022, and recorded a 0.9% decline over the last three-month average share.

Miscellaneous Computer Occupations tops Deutsche Lufthansa IT hiring in April 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Deutsche Lufthansa, Miscellaneous Computer Occupations emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 37.5% in April 2022, and a 30.77% drop over March 2022, while Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a share of 33.33% in April 2022, and registered a decline of 78.38%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 14.58% in April 2022, a 58.82% drop from March 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at Deutsche Lufthansa

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in April 2022 with a 91.67% share, which marked a 63.03% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 4.17%, registering a 66.67% month-on-month decline. Middle East & Africa was the third leading region with a 2.08% share and a 50% drop over March 2022.

In the fourth place was North America with a share of 2.08% and a month-on-month decline of 50%.

Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 62.5% share in April 2022, a 71.43% decline over March 2022. Switzerland featured next with a 14.58% share, down 22.22% over the previous month. Italy recorded a 12.5% share, an increase of 200% compared with March 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Deutsche Lufthansa IT hiring activity in April 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 87.5%, down by 53.85% from March 2022. Entry Level positions with a 12.5% share, a decline of 78.57% compared with the previous month.
