Deutsche Lufthansa’s IT hiring activity rises 0.4% in October 2022

Germany-based company Deutsche Lufthansa’s IT hiring rose 0.4% in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 1.04% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 14.47% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2022, and recorded a 0.78% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Deutsche Lufthansa IT hiring in October 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Deutsche Lufthansa, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 34.78% in October 2022, and a 31.43% drop over September 2022, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 23.19% in October 2022, and registered growth of 100%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 18.84% in October 2022, a 62.5% rise from September 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at Deutsche Lufthansa

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in October 2022 with a 92.75% share, which marked a 12.33% drop over the previous month.

North America stood next with 4.35%, registering a 50% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 2.9% share and a flat growth over September 2022.

Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 79.71% share in October 2022, a 6.78% decline over September 2022. Switzerland featured next with a 7.25% share, down 50% over the previous month. Bulgaria recorded a 2.9% share, an increase of 100% compared with September 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Deutsche Lufthansa IT hiring activity in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 47.83%, down by 32.65% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 37.68% share, a growth of 116.67% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 14.49% share, down 37.5% over September 2022.
