November 2022 has seen an increase of 4.5% in the overall hiring activity when compared with October 2022.

IT jobs accounted for a 5.41% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2022, registering a decrease of 0.33% over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in November 2022

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 53.31% in November 2022, a 13.42% rise over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 17.98% in November 2022, marking a 93.22% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 16.88% in November 2022, a 14.4% drop from October 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 58.05% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s travel & tourism industry during November 2022 over previous month.

Deutsche Bahn posted 248 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered an increase of 235.14% over the previous month, followed by Deutsche Lufthansa with 60 jobs and a 7.69% drop. A.P. Moller – Maersk with 49 IT jobs and Bally’s with 38 jobs, recorded a 37.18% drop and a 20.83% drop, respectively, while Europcar Mobility Group recorded a 1250% increase with 27 job postings during November 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s travel & tourism industry

Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 49.84% share in November 2022, a 101.27% increase over October 2022. The UK featured next with a 14.83% share, down 50.26% over the previous month. France recorded a 6.47% share, a growth of 272.73% compared with October 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.03%, up by 10.5% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.46% share, registered a growth of 6.52% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 11.51% share, down 18.89% over October 2022.
