US-based company Expedia Group’s IT hiring declined 64.7% in November 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 52.14% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 20.12% share in the company’s total hiring activity in November 2022, and recorded a 9.36% decline over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Expedia Group IT hiring in November 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Expedia Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 80% in November 2022, and a 37.93% rise over October 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 10% in November 2022, and registered flat growth. Computer Support Specialists held a share of 6% in November 2022, a flat growth from October 2022.
Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Expedia Group
Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in November 2022 with a 42% share, which marked a 40% rise over the previous month.
North America stood next with 34%, registering a 41.67% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 24% share and a 9.09% rise over October 2022.
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 38% share in November 2022, a 46.15% growth over October 2022. US featured next with a 28% share, up 16.67% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 10% share, a decline of 37.5% compared with October 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Expedia Group IT hiring activity in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60%, up by 42.86% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 30% share, a growth of 25% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 10% share, flat growth over October 2022.
