The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 4.71% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.58% share in October 2022, recording a decrease of 0.21% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.35% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s travel & tourism industry in October 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 47.4% in October 2022, registering a 1.35% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 19.48% share, an increase of 42.86% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 16.88%, registering a 23.53% decline from September 2022.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 13.64%, up 10.53% over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 7.81% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s travel & tourism industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
Deutsche Bahn posted 63 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a drop of 1.56% over the previous month, followed by Deutsche Lufthansa with 55 jobs and a 6.78% drop. Fraport with 8 IT jobs and Booking Holdings with 7 jobs, recorded a 300% growth and a 600% growth, respectively, while Hapag-Lloyd recorded an increase of 150% with 5 job postings during October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.44%, down by 11.76% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 25.97% share, registered an increase of 100% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 14.29% share, down 24.14% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.3%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
