
Germany’s travel & tourism industry registered a 15.1% rise in IT hiring activity in November 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 29.71% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.93% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 0.72% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s travel & tourism industry in November 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 54.75% in November 2022, registering a 130.67% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 23.42% share, an increase of 174.07% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 11.39%, registering a 20% rise from October 2022.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 9.81%, up 47.62% over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 130.53% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s travel & tourism industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
Deutsche Bahn posted 229 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a rise of 263.49% over the previous month, followed by Deutsche Lufthansa with 41 jobs and a 25.45% drop. Sixt with 12 IT jobs and TUI with 10 jobs, recorded a 140% growth and a 233.33% growth, respectively, while Hapag-Lloyd recorded an increase of 100% with 10 job postings during November 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75%, up by 144.33% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.82% share, registered an increase of 150% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.18% share, down 23.68% over October 2022.
