November 2022 has seen a decrease of 8.97% in the overall hiring activity when compared with October 2022.

IT jobs accounted for a 2.49% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2022, registering a decrease of 0.64% over the last three-month average share.

Miscellaneous Computer Occupations Occupations leads by classification in November 2022

Miscellaneous Computer Occupations Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 36.84% in November 2022, a 75% rise over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 26.32% in November 2022, marking a flat month-on-month increase. In the third place was Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers with a share of 15.79% in November 2022, a 50% rise from October 2022.

Computer Support Specialists registered a share of 10.53% in November 2022, a 100% rise over the previous month.

Top five travel & tourism companies in South & Central America’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 200% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s travel & tourism industry during November 2022 over previous month.

A.P. Moller – Maersk posted 11 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered an increase of 120% over the previous month, followed by BCD Travel Services with 3 jobs and a 200% growth. Hilton Worldwide Holdings with 2 IT jobs and Walt Disney with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Accor recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during November 2022.

Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 42.11% share in November 2022, a 100% increase over October 2022. Costa Rica featured next with a 31.58% share, up 200% over the previous month. Colombia recorded a 15.79% share, a growth of 50% compared with October 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 63.16%, up by 50% from October 2022. Entry Level positions with a 36.84% share, registered a growth of 250% compared with the previous month.
