The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.31% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 11.75% share in October 2022, recording an increase of 0.42% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Spain’s travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s travel & tourism industry in October 2022.
1) Database and Network Administrators and Architects recorded a share of 40% in October 2022, registering a 400% growth over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 28% share, a decrease of 12.5% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 20%, registering a 150% rise from September 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 12%, up 50% over the previous month.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 130% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s travel & tourism industry during October 2022 over September 2022.

Moller – Maersk posted 10 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a rise of 233.33% over the previous month, followed by Hotelbeds S.L.U. with 7 jobs and a 75% growth. lastminute with 3 IT jobs and Booking Holdings with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Expedia Group recorded a decline of 66.67% with 1 job postings during October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 84%, up by 40% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with an 8% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8% share, flat growth over September 2022.
