US-based company The Walt Disney’s IT hiring declined 18.6% in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 11.65% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 15.61% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2022, and recorded a 1.93% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops The Walt Disney IT hiring in October 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by The Walt Disney, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 66.99% in October 2022, and a 40.52% drop over September 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 13.59% in October 2022, and registered growth of 7.69%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 7.28% in October 2022, a 34.78% drop from September 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at The Walt Disney

North America emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in October 2022 with a 79.61% share, which marked a 33.6% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 16.99%, registering a 33.96% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 3.4% share and a 22.22% drop over September 2022.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 79.61% share in October 2022, a 33.33% decline over September 2022. India featured next with a 13.59% share, down 37.78% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 2.91% share, an increase of 50% compared with September 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead The Walt Disney IT hiring activity in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 57.28%, down by 36.22% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 33.01% share, a decline of 21.84% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.71% share, down 45.95% over September 2022.
