The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 11.77% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.68% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 0.35% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the UK’s travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 96.81% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s travel & tourism industry in November 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 45.74% in November 2022, registering a 55.21% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 26.6% share, a decrease of 39.02% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 14.89%, registering a 12.5% decline from October 2022.
4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 5.32%, up 150% over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 49.46% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s travel & tourism industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
Greene King posted 13 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 35% over the previous month, followed by A.P. Moller – Maersk with 12 jobs and a 67.57% drop. Bally’s with 12 IT jobs and Virgin Group with 5 jobs, recorded a 53.85% decline and a 150% growth, respectively, while Expedia Group recorded a decline of 37.5% with 5 job postings during November 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 74.47%, down by 51.05% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.15% share, registered a decline of 33.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.38% share, down 66.67% over October 2022.
