The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.58% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.02% share in November 2021, recording an increase of 0.46% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the UK’s travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.15% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s travel & tourism industry in November 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 48.61% in November 2021, registering a 2.78% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 16.67% share, an increase of 5.88% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 14.81%, registering a 100% rise from October 2021.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 12.04%, up 13.04% over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 1.89% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s travel & tourism industry during November 2021 over October 2021.
A.P. Moller – Maersk posted 40 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a rise of 8.11% over the previous month, followed by Caesars Entertainment with 24 jobs and a 71.43% growth. Expedia Group with 19 IT jobs and Wizz Air with 13 jobs, recorded a 53.66% decline and a 62.5% flat growth, respectively, while Walt Disney recorded an increase of 100% with 12 job postings during November 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 78.24%, up by 22.46% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 13.43% share, registered a decline of 30.95% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.41% share, down 38.46% over October 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.93%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
