The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 11.74% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.39% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 0.16% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the US’s travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 97.52% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s travel & tourism industry in November 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 48.57% in November 2022, registering a 5.1% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 30.56% share, a decrease of 32.04% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 7.95%, registering a 34.69% decline from October 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 7.83%, down 23.17% over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 28.94% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s travel & tourism industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
Walt Disney posted 137 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 21.71% over the previous month, followed by BCD Travel Services with 85 jobs and a 1600% growth. Marriott International with 54 IT jobs and Columbia Hospitality with 38 jobs, recorded a 5.26% decline and an 1166.67% growth, respectively, while American Airlines Group recorded an increase of 15.15% with 38 job postings during November 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.99%, down by 21.19% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 27.45% share, registered a decline of 18.15% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 11.55% share, down 21.85% over October 2022.
