Europe’s five largest hotel construction projects that commenced in Q4 2021

Here are Europe’s five largest hotel construction projects that were initiated in Q4 2021, according to GlobalData’s construction projects database.

1. Quartier Grand Central Mixed-Use Development – $651m

The project involves the construction of a mixed-use complex on a 3.8ha area in Flingern, Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

Construction work started in Q4 2021 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2026.

The project aims to provide residential, commercial and leisure facilities and meet the growing demand in Flingern.

2. Hotel Forum – $223m

The project involves the construction of the Hotel Forum in Barcelona on a 3.2ha area with a total gross floor area of 52,593m2 in Catalonia, Spain.

Construction work commenced in Q4 2021 and is expected to finish in Q4 2022.

The project’s aim is to provide luxury accommodation facilities for corporate sectors and tourists in the region.

3. 1Hotel Paris – $88m

The project involves the construction of a hotel on a 2,580m2 area with a floor area of 12,700m2 at Paris 13th arrondissement in Paris, Ile-de-France region, France.

Construction work started in Q4 2021 and is forecast to complete in Q1 2023.

The purpose of the project is to develop a four star hotel to promote hospitality in Europe and cater to the growing tourism needs of France.

4. Clerkenwell Premier Inn Hotel – $42m

The project involves the construction of a 9290m2 180-room hotel in Farringdon, Greater London, the UK.

Construction work commenced in Q4 2021 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2022.

The project aims to provide better hospitality facilities in the region.

5. Colmar Maison Albar Village Hotel – $39m

The project involves the construction of a five-star hotel at Montagne Verte district of Colmar in Grand Est region, France.

Construction work started in Q4 2021 and is expected to be completed in Q1 2024.

The purpose of the project is to cater to the growing leisure and tourism requirements in the region.
