Here are the top five leisure and hospitality building construction projects that commenced in the UK in Q4 2021, according to GlobalData’s construction projects database.

1. Student Accommodation Project 3 – $106m

The project involves the construction of a 26,013m2 Student Accommodation Project 3 building in Bristol.

Construction work started in Q4 2021 and is expected to be completed in Q2 2024.

The project aims to cater to the increasing demand for high-quality student accommodation on Campus and to provide modern, accessible, quality accommodation to support students to underpin the learning experience particularly in the first year when students are finding their feet away from home.

2. Business School Accommodation – $77m

The project involves the construction of a residential executive accommodation center at the junction of Arthur Street and Russel Street, Oxford.

Construction work commenced in Q4 2021 and is expected to finish in Q1 2024.

The project aims to provide accommodation to the students’ of Said Business School of Oxford University.

3. Clerkenwell Premier Inn Hotel – $42m

The project involves the construction of a 9290m2 180-room hotel in Farringdon, London.

Construction work started in Q4 2021 and is forecast to complete in Q4 2022.

The project aims to provide better hospitality facilities in the region.

4. Iona Street Housing Community – $30m

The project involves the construction of a 13,310m2 residential led student accommodation community on 0.53ha of land in Edinburgh.

Construction work commenced in Q4 2021 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2023.

The project aims to provide build-to-rent (BTR) units and purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA)facilities in the region.

5. York Wilde Aparthotel – $25m

The project involves the construction of a 62-room aparthotel in York.

Construction work started in Q4 2021 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2023.

The project aims to demolish the existing buildings that currently house the Jinnah restaurant, Minster Car Hire Garage and The Micklegate at 127 bar to provide better hospitality facilities in the region.
