The property will continue to operate independently during the transition period.
Ink 48 is located in Hell’s Kitchen on Manhattan’s West Side overlooking the Hudson River.
The hotel’s accommodation includes 17 suites, a signature penthouse, alongside dining facilities, a rooftop bar, a fitness centre and approximately 6,000ft² of meeting and event space.
Food and beverage operations at the hotel include Hudson Local, a ground-floor restaurant, and Hudson VU, a rooftop bar with views across the Manhattan skyline.
In a statement, Accor said: “The signing of Ink 48 reinforces Accor’s commitment to expanding its luxury footprint across North America.
“With the successful introduction of Hotel Ändra Seattle – MGallery Collection, and the US ranking among MGallery’s top five feeder markets globally, the country represents a strategic growth opportunity for the brand.”
Accor partnered with New York-based private equity investment vehicle Capstone Equities for the project.
Capstone Equities Asset Management head Andres Ramirez said: “We are delighted to partner with Accor to bring Ink48 into the MGallery Collection.
“Ink48 has always stood apart in Manhattan’s hotel landscape, a property with a genuine sense of place and a loyal following.
“MGallery is the ideal brand to build on that: a collection defined by individuality rather than uniformity, allowing us to elevate the guest experience and the hotel’s positioning while preserving what our guests value most about it.”
