The agreement expands the existing commercial ties between the two organisations. The portfolio shared by the two companies already includes Novotel Melbourne on Collins and Novotel Sydney Darling Square.
Positioned within Brisbane’s central business district near Queen Street Mall and the City Botanic Gardens, Novotel Brisbane City Centre provides 240m² of event space across three meeting rooms.
Other amenities include an on-site dining venue, a heated indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a steam room, and a 24-hour fitness centre with a yoga room.
Ahead of its opening, the property will undergo a refurbishment programme focused on the entrance, reception desk, restaurant, and bar areas.
The project also encompasses upgrades to internal technology and network connectivity, alongside the integration of Novotel brand features throughout the building.
The new hotel will be Accor’s 22nd hotel in Brisbane, and the launch coincides with broader preparations across the city for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Accor Pacific region chief operating officer Adrian Williams said: “Novotel Brisbane City Centre is opening at a defining moment for the region.
“With major investment in infrastructure, tourism and events underway, we see enormous potential for Brisbane over the coming decade.
“Our focus is on ensuring we have the right brands in the right locations to meet that growth, and we are delighted to expand both our Novotel network and our partnership with Frasers Hospitality.”
Novotel’s global network includes more than 630 properties in 70 countries.
Last month, Accor signed an agreement with Reve Group to operate Novotel Sydney Castle Hill in New South Wales, Australia.
