The project is part of the hospitality group’s regional development plans in the Middle East and North Africa.

The 200-room property will be located on the seafront in Sidi Kerir, 40 minutes west of Alexandria.

Trust Contracting and Real Estate Investment Company chairman Samir Fawzi commented: “At Trust Contracting, our investment in the next phase of Egypt’s North Coast transformation is built on recognising opportunities beyond luxury.

According to the announcement, the site will have access from the Alexandria–Marsa Matrouh International Coastal Road and will be near Borg El Arab International Airport.

Plans for the hotel include a 600m² ballroom, six meeting rooms, a restaurant, a bar, a gym and a swimming pool.

The venue is intended for conferences, events and social functions.

Its existing portfolio there includes Rixos Premium Alamein, which has more than 1,300 rooms.

Projects in the pipeline include Swissôtel Ras El Hekma & Swissôtel Residences Ras El Hekma, which will have 250 hotel rooms and 100 branded residences for short and longer stays, as well as Novotel Sidi Abdel Rahman, a 240-room hotel in Naia Bay.

Accor Middle East, Africa and Türkiye premium, midscale and economy division regional president Raki Phillips commented: “By introducing ibis North Coast Sidi Kerir, we will deliver dependable, internationally recognised economy hospitality to an underserved market segment.

“This signing with Trust Contracting and Real Estate Investment Company reinforces our diversified expansion strategy across Egypt, underscoring our confidence in the country’s long-term tourism fundamentals and Vision 2030.”
