Accor has announced the signing of a new MGallery Hotel Collection boutique property in Chengdu, Sichuan, China.

The new Chengdu Financial City – MGallery Collection, which is expected to open its doors in 2026, is located in the city’s central business district.

It will be the third MGallery branded property in Chengdu, joining two others, including the soon-to-open Chengdu Expo Waterfall Hotel and Ocean Spring Resort Chengdu.

The latest signing of Chengdu Financial City Hotel is part of Accor’s strategic expansion in Greater China, where the company plans to double its MGallery portfolio.

By the end of the year, Accor aims to have ten MGallery hotels in operation, up from the current five.

This growth includes the opening of five new MGallery hotels in the region over the coming months.

Among the upcoming openings is the Dunhua Mansion Taipei – MGallery Collection, which is set to welcome guests next month.

Located on Dunhua North Road, this boutique hotel will offer more than 100 guestrooms.

Following this, the 172-room Chengdu Expo Waterfall Hotel – MGallery Collection will open in July 2024, situated in Jianyang City’s Eastern New District.

It will be followed by Dangkou Ancient Town Hotel Wuxi – MGallery Collection, which is expected to open this September in Ehu Town, Xishan District, Wuxi City.

In October, Accor will launch two more MGallery Collection properties, namely the Ming Hotel Nanjing and the Fashion Town Hotel Shenzhen.

The Fashion Town Hotel Shenzhen, designed by the Architectural Design and Research Institute of Harbin Institute of Technology, will feature 250 designer rooms and suites, multiple dining options, a fitness centre, a swimming pool, and a spa.

Accor Greater China CEO Gary Rosen said: “MGallery Collection continues to be an outstanding growth story in Greater China, where we are creating a constellation of memorable and meaningful hotels – each with its own distinct personality and rigorous commitment to sustainability, creativity, and a progressive mindset.”
