Accor has announced its plans to open new Novotel and ibis branded properties at Yogyakarta International Airport in Indonesia.

Currently under construction, the two hotels will be managed by Accor and are owned by PT Lentera Prosper Indo.

The new dual-branded project will feature a total of 413 keys within a single development. This one building will have two distinctive wings that will be connected by a façade.

The properties are located a five-minute drive away from the Yogyakarta International Airport in Kulon Progo and around 45 minutes’ drive away from Yogyakarta city centre.

Both the hotel brands will feature their signature amenities and design.

The Novotel property will comprise of 189 guestrooms, a swimming pool, a spa, a fitness centre and a dedicated space for kids along with a children’s pool.

It will also offer all-day dining and refreshments facilities for the guests at its restaurant and bar.

The 11-storey Novotel hotel building will have two floors of meeting space, including a 700m² ballroom and nine meeting rooms.

On the other hand, the ibis property will feature 224 guestrooms spanning across nine-storey glass and aluminium tower.

Ibis Brand’s specific facilities offered in this hotel include three meeting rooms with a pre-function space, an all-day restaurant, a lobby lounge, a gym, nursery and kids’ space.

The Novotel-ibis property is expected to open in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year (FY) 2023.

Accor Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea CEO Garth Simmons said: “These two exceptional hotels will cater to rising number of domestic and international travellers, as well as event organisers at this up-and-coming aviation hub, while complementing existing locations in downtown Yogyakarta.”

Recently, Accor opened its first ibis Styles property in Semarang, Indonesia.
