Accor has signed a co-operation agreement with construction and investment company JSC to open its first property in Tajikistan.

To be located in the centre of the capital city of Dushanbe, the property will feature 243 rooms, including a presidential suite and apartments.

Swissôtel Dushanbe is scheduled to open in 2028.

It will have two restaurants, a rooftop cocktail bar, a Swiss café, and a lounge featuring a cigar club on the top floor.

It will host both corporate and social gatherings in its conference rooms and a ballroom, the French hospitality group said.

The property will also feature a spa, fitness facility, 24/7 room service, two-storey underground parking, and an indoor swimming pool with a terrace and sunbeds.

The official signing ceremony was held at Safo Dushanbe Hotel.

It was attended by JSC’s representative office director for the Republic of Tajikistan Hamzaali Fazilov, and Accor New East Europe chief operating officer Alexis Delaroff.

The hotel will be in proximity to the Botanical Garden and Sari Osiyo Friday Cathedral Mosque.

It will take around 25 minutes by taxi to get from the hotel to the international airport.

The latest announcement comes soon after Accor added Mantra Tonsley Adelaide to its portfolio in Australia.

Accor currently has 5,500 properties, 10,000 food and beverage venues, wellness facilities and flexible workspaces in more than 110 countries.
