Al Hamra, a lifestyle developer based in the UAE, has opened the Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in Al Hamra Village, Ras Al Khaimah.

This marks Sofitel’s debut in Ras Al Khaimah, under a collaboration with French hospitality group Accor announced in September 2021.

Situated by the Arabian Gulf, the new resort promises to integrate French elegance and local heritage.

It has 292 guest rooms and seven dining venues, serving a variety of international cuisines.

The Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort also offers a comprehensive range of amenities, including a spa, a fitness centre, beachfront swimming pools, and clubs for children and teenagers.

Al Hamra Group CEO Benoy Kurien said: “The opening of Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort is another step towards bringing the firsts and bests to the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

“The addition of diverse hospitality options aligns perfectly with the Emirate’s goal of enhancing its tourism offerings.”

Strategically located, the resort provides access to a host of leisure activities. These include the championship 18-hole Al Hamra Golf Course, the Royal Yacht Club of Ras Al Khaimah, and an assortment of water sports and entertainment options.

Its launch is a key part of Al Hamra’s five-year strategy to expand its portfolio and enhance its assets and services.

Last December, Al Hamra reopened the transformed Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah. Waldorf Astoria comprises 149 guest rooms and 54 suites, along with nine refurbished restaurants and lounges, and outdoor event spaces.
