According to Ascott, the property links “guests, local businesses and cultural partners in ways that benefit all three”.

One element is lyf Hacks, a guide put together by the lyf team with practical information for visitors exploring Chinatown, including local tips, directions around the area and nearby amenities.

The property is also rolling out a changing programme of activities tied to the district’s heritage and daily life.

For guests, this includes a 1.5-hour Heritage Walk led by the site’s Ambassador of Buzz, taking in notable locations, stories from the area’s early communities and murals in side streets.

Other activities planned with local partners include Chinese calligraphy, henna art, Muslim-friendly perfume workshops and local food-related experiences.

Ascott said such collaborations, or similar activities, will be introduced at intervals during the year and are intended to link travellers with the surrounding community.

For reservations made by 30 Sep 2026 for stays up to 1 Oct 2026, Ascott Star Rewards members can get up to 25% off, subject to a minimum stay of six nights and direct booking through discoverasr.com.

Ascott Singapore lyf and The Unlimited Collection country director, revenue management and area manager Genevieve Khua said: “Every lyf property is shaped by its neighbourhood, and lyf Chinatown Singapore is no exception. Located in the heart of one of Singapore’s most storied and dynamic districts, the property offers guests an authentic gateway to local culture, heritage and community.

“Housed within conserved shophouses, lyf Chinatown Singapore blends modern social living within the area’s rich history, reflected through commissioned artworks inspired by the journeys of early Chulia traders and collaborations with surrounding businesses.”
