Located one block from the beach in Laguna Beach’s Pearl District, the hotel offers concierge services to support the needs of the guests during their stay.
Guests will also have access to amenities such as a rooftop terrace with views of the Pacific, a swimming pool, a hot tub, and shared communal areas.
The area’s proximity to beaches, art galleries and local restaurants positions the property conveniently for visitors, with access to locations, including Woods Cove and Crescent Bay.
AvantStay co-founder Reuben Doetsch said: “The Mara represents the next step in AvantStay’s growth as we continue to expand our brand. AvantStay aims to redefine what travellers come to expect from boutique hotels, blending the character of the destination and charm of the property with a high-quality experience that sets a new standard for the industry.”
AvantStay currently operates more than 3,000 properties across 65 destinations, employing a technology-driven approach to manage both short-term rental homes and hotels.
The transition from Sonder provides an opportunity for AvantStay to increase its footprint in high-demand regions and maintain operational standards.
AvantStay’s portfolio includes vacation rental properties and boutique hotels.
Earlier this year, AvantStay expanded its presence in Miami, US, by launching the new Sense28 hotel.
Situated in Edgewater, Florida, Sense28 featured 52 units, including one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites, each equipped with full kitchens, residential-style living areas, and access to a pool deck and fitness centre.
