Construction has officially commenced on the 14-story, 212-room Cambria Hotel Austin Downtown in Austin, Texas, with a ground-breaking ceremony.

The new hotel marks the continuation of Cambria Hotels’ expansion in the US state. Cambria Hotels is Choice Hotels International’s franchised upscale brand.

Cambria Hotel Austin Downtown will feature spa-style bathrooms with Bluetooth mirrors, multi-function meeting and event spaces and an advanced fitness centre.

It will also provide onsite dining catering freshly made food, local craft beer, wine and specialty cocktails, as well as an indoor, outdoor rooftop bar.

Slated to open in the summer of 2023, the hotel will complement the brand’s soon-to-open hotels including the Cambria Hotel Austin Airport and Cambria Hotel North Austin Near The Domain.

Currently, Cambria Hotel has six properties open in Dallas, Houston, McAllen, Plano, Richardson, and Southlake.

Cambria Hotel has selected full service real estate firm Stratus Development Partners to develop the property.

Recently, Stratus Development opened two properties in California including the Cambria Hotel Napa Valley Silverado Trail.
