Canopy by Hilton has opened its new property at the East Market development in Center City, Philadelphia in the US.
The new 236-room Canopy by Hilton Philadelphia | Center City is the first Pennsylvania location of Hilton’s luxury and lifestyle hotel brand and is owned by National Real Estate Advisors on behalf of a client and their partners.

Canopy Philadelphia Center City general manager John Fricke said: “While we have been anticipating this opening for quite some time, we feel now is the right time to bring our boutique lifestyle hotel experience to guests looking for a safe and welcoming place to stay in the City of Philadelphia.”
BLT Architects partnered with interior designer AvroKo for the hotel design that applies many of the original Beaux-Arts architectural elements to create a contemporary interpretation. The design also involves bold energy, colours and patterns.
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Canopy Philadelphia has introduced improved health and safety protocols.
The property’s first floor restaurant, The Wayward, will open its outdoor dining in a limited capacity to ensure adherence to physical distancing recommendations.
Amenities offered by Canopy Philadelphia include about 3,600ft² of indoor and outdoor meeting space, rooms and suites with signature Canopy beds, free WiFi, locally curated retail and a 24-hour fitness centre.
Canopy by Hilton’s new property is also taking part in the Hilton CleanStay Program in order to emphasise its commitment to the health and safety of its guests.
Additionally, Canopy Philadelphia has activated next generation technology that will create a minimal contact stay for all guests through the Hilton Honors App.
Guests can use the application to manage most aspects of their stay with Hilton’s Connected Room.
