Choice Hotels International has announced that its midscale select-service brand Clarion Pointe has opened 60 hotels and has over 50 properties in the pipeline as part of its expansion plan.
The brand, which was founded in 2018, recently opened properties in Charleston, South Carolina; Jacksonville, North Carolina; Syracuse, New York; Tampa, Florida and Prescott Valley, Arizona.
Choice Hotels vice-president of brand strategy Cathy Hartman said: “Today’s savvy travellers seek affordable hotel accommodations with elevated essentials in just the right places and Clarion Pointe delivers with contemporary design, on-demand technology, modern fitness essentials and thoughtful food and beverage options.
“This milestone emphasises the excitement about the brand from both guests and developers, in addition to Choice Hotel’s continued commitment to the success of Clarion Pointe.”
The hospitality group noted that like all Clarion Pointe hotels, its newest properties also feature contemporary design, dedicated workout space and technology with on-demand connectivity.
The newly opened properties feature signature murals in the lobby and guest rooms and offer guests craft beer and select wine apart from complimentary breakfast and premium tea and coffee.

Rooms in the newly opened hotels include 49in TVs with casting capabilities and free, streaming-strength Wi-Fi, the company said.
Furthermore, workout spaces in these properties feature cardio equipment as well as a strength-training station.

The brand also opened a two-story hotel in Tampa, Florida – Clarion Pointe Tampa East Near Fairgrounds, as well as the Casino and Clarion Pointe Prescott Valley in Arizona as part of its expansion plan. The 60-room hotel was developed by Pro Hospitality Five.
