Business property adviser Christie & Co has been selected to facilitate the sale of the Brantwood Country Hotel, a four-star establishment in the Lake District, UK.

The hotel has been listed for sale, with the ownership interest priced at £900,000.

This move comes as current owners Richard and Niki Langley have decided to retire.

Located in the village of Stainton, the Brantwood Country Hotel was acquired by the Langleys in 2007.

Richard Langley said: “We knew from the moment we first walked through the door nearly 20 years ago that Brantwood was exactly what we were looking for in a business: great potential, that hosted visitors and locals, and offered food, drink and accommodation whilst being in one of the prettiest villages in the Lake District.

“We have loved our time with Brantwood Hotel and being part of the local community. As we are ready to retire, our final job is to make sure we find a new owner to take over the business with the same enthusiasm we have been able to offer over the years.”

In addition to seven guest bedrooms, the hotel offers a public bar and restaurant, which also provides a private dining room that can host up to 20 people.

Included in the sale is a two-bedroom cottage for owners or managers, which is located adjacent to the hotel.

Christie & Co Lake District-based hotel agent Graham Wilkinson said: “It is a pleasure to be invited by Richard and Niki to find a new owner for the Brantwood Country Hotel.

“The excellent reputation of this business reflects Richard and Niki’s commitment to their guests and the community. We will work hard to find a suitable new owner to take the business forward as Richard and Niki retire.”

Last month, Christie & Co said it was overseeing the sale of the Vine Hotel in Skegness, UK.

The property features 25 en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant, two bars, and function areas, all set within three acres of lawned gardens with outdoor dining areas, including five dining pods.
