CIMC Modular Building Systems (CIMC MBS) has announced an agreement to construct the Earth Riyadh Hotel, marking its first venture into the hospitality sector within Saudi Arabia.
Known for its “conscious and design-forward approach”, hospitality group Earth Hotels is preparing for new openings in Saudi Arabia and Europe.
The Earth Riyadh Hotel comprises a three-storey boutique property that encompasses an 11,000m² area and is slated for completion in 2026.
Situated in the Al Maathar district, close to tourist attractions and the Diplomatic Quarter, the hotel will feature 86 rooms, lofts, and suites catering to both business and leisure travellers.
CIMC MBS will be responsible for a range of services, including module design, off-site manufacturing, and on-site installation.
Utilising advanced modular construction technology, CIMC MBS anticipates a reduction in construction time by more than 50% compared to conventional building methods. This approach is also expected to significantly improve resource and energy efficiency.
