American hospitality company Hyatt Hotels has launched its Andaz brand in Austria with the opening of Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere hotel in the European country.

The property, located in the new Quartier Belvedere, is the fourth Andaz branded hotel in Europe and second Hyatt hotel in Austria.

The other three Andaz branded hotels are Andaz London Liverpool Street, Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht and Andaz Munich Schwabinger Tor.

Showcasing modern art and design, Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere is inspired by Prince Eugene of Savoy, the country’s historic personality and the person behind the Belvedere Palace.

The hotel offers easy access to historical landmarks, such as the Belvedere Palace and the Botanical Gardens, and is located close to Vienna’s main train station.

Architect Renzo Piano and interior designers Claudio Carbone and Gabriel Kacerovsky have collaborated on the project.

Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere consists of two separate buildings, connected by interwoven bridges, sharing a lobby lounge on the ground floor.

The hotel consists of 303 guestrooms, including 44 suites, with each guestroom including modern interiors.

Each room features floor-to-ceiling windows, ensuring guests can enjoy the views of Quartier Belvedere in the city centre or the nearby Belvedere Palace, known as the summer residence of Prince Eugene.

Designed with sustainability practices in mind, each guestroom uses less plastic with environmentally friendly materials such as leather and paper. Saint Charles Pharmacy is providing the bathroom amenities.

The hotel features Eugen21, an Austrian tavern that combines classic and modern cuisine. The cocktail menu combines an Austrian-European wine list and traditional cocktails and beers.

It also consists of Aurora, a rooftop bar located on the 16th floor. It features a Scandinavian-inspired cocktail menu with bar snacks and offers views of Vienna.

Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere includes three studios for small programmes, as well as a 7,588ft² ballroom and 2,604ft² of meeting and event space. The hotel also includes an exclusive health and wellness area, offering a range of treatments and amenities.
