Compass Hospitality and Seacare Hospitality have further strengthened their partnership with the acquisition of The Dilkhusa Hotel in Ilfracombe, in the English county of Devon.

The two companies previously purchased The Rox Hotel Aberdeen, situated in Scotland, in April last year.

The latest acquisition makes The Dilkhusa Hotel Compass Hospitality’s 21st hotel in the country, expanding its portfolio across the UK market.

Seacare Hospitality CEO Lim Chye Teen and Compass Hospitality president and CEO Harmil Singh stated that this acquisition aligns with their ongoing partnership.

Situated on the Victorian seafront and near the harbour, overlooking a North Devon seaside resort, the hotel was originally a private house.

The property features 99 bedrooms along with views of Runnymede Gardens.

The hotel also offers an array of amenities, including public spaces, a bar, a ballroom and an on-site restaurant that serves residents as well as non-hotel guests.

Guests at the property can also visit nearby tourist spots such as the Landmark Theatre and the Ilfracombe Museum.

Previously, the hotel was claimed to have concentrated on the group tour market through Coast and Country management.

Now, it plans to diversify by targeting a broader clientele, including corporate visitors, as well as hosting meetings and events.

This latest addition comes after Compass Hospitality secured the mandate to manage Best Western Plus Keavil House Hotel in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland, earlier this year.

Based in Southeast Asia, Compass Hospitality manages and operates 50 properties across different market segments.

Currently, the company operates under brands including Compass, Citin, Citrus, Ananda and Compass Collection, comprising properties ranging from hotels and serviced apartments to spas.

After expanding its operations into the UK in 2015, the group has since built a portfolio of 21 properties in different locations.

Singapore-based Seacare Hospitality also has a wide selection of hotels.
