US-based hospitality management company Davidson Hospitality Group has designated eTip as its digital tipping partner.

The announcement follows eTip’s selection as the preferred tipping partner for several international hotel chains and its affiliation with Visa and American Express as a digital tipping solution partner.

The integration of eTip’s platform at Davidson’s properties is expected to enhance the guest experience by simplifying the tipping process.

eTip’s platform, which does not require a mobile app download or login credentials, meets this demand by allowing guests to tip with ease.

Using their preferred means of payment, guests can use ‘tap to tip’ via an NFC-enabled QR code or scan a QR code to pay tips.

In addition to guest convenience, eTip also offers reporting features that provide insights into tipping trends, staff performance, and guest satisfaction.

This data-driven approach can help Davidson Hospitality Group to optimise its operations and improve staff retention.

Davidson Hospitality Group CEO and president Thom Geshay said: “At Davidson, one of our core values is to create value in all that we do and adopting eTip’s solution does exactly that.

“We are excited to leverage innovative technology that adapts seamlessly to the evolving needs of our guests, team members and ownership partners.”

eTip co-founder and CEO Nicolas Cassis said: “Together with Davidson Hospitality Group, we’re setting the stage to empower guests to show even more appreciation for excellent service while also empowering hotel staff to experience greater security and convenience for the tips they receive.”

Davidson Hospitality Group operates brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Kimpton, Margaritaville, and Nobu, managing 85 hotels and resorts, more than 200 restaurants, bars, and lounges, and over two million square feet of meeting space across the US.

The partnership with Davidson follows eTip’s collaboration with Baywood Hotels last year.

Based in Columbia, Maryland, Baywood Hotels adopted eTip’s digital tipping solution to offer guests a secure and convenient way to tip hotel staff through the Visa network.
